With religion and music serving as some of the most significant aspects of my life, I began pondering the intersection of faith and music by which their meaning is elevated to a higher plane of understanding. Despite the long heritage of composers who made a mark in non-sectular western music, I turned to other mediums and found inspiration through artwork, cathedral architecture, parables, bible verses, and the various stories that have satiated the curiosity of people around the world.

The music crafts a vibrant collage of images and colours related to spirituality. Flurries of gestures fly in and out of view and twirl and linger in the air. Moments of unity and strength are juxtaposed with moments of lightness with rolling arpeggiations floating gracefully. Cascading, interweaving lines are met with a soaring melody that drives the movements to a glorified finish.

There is no ‘one’ idea, but a mosaic of vibrant glory as the music lets us soar mightily through its golden wings.
